After the hustle and bustle of the wedding week and weeks leading up to it, Stephanie and I were ready for a long break. And break we did....all the way to Europe. Our first stop was Barcelona, Spain.
While the weather was on and off (it rained daily, but only spot showers each day)...the area was beautiful.
Stephanie and I covered a lot of area throughout the city while we were there and had trouble deciding what we liked most about the first stop of our trip. One thing was for sure, if this was a hint of what we would see at each place we visit, it was going to be an amazing trip.
The picture on the right is of the La Sagratta Familia. A Gaudi-designed/built Cathedral that is still under construction today. We were able to go inside the building and walk around on our own, and I have to say, its the most breathtaking building I have ever been in.
I just cant put it into words how awesome it is.
The Museum was full of artworks from some of the most famous artists in history. It was a long walk out to it, but of course, well worth it. This was also a day when the weather was perfect and we enjoyed being out in the city enjoying all the sights and sounds of Barcelona....
We couldn't wait to head off to Nice, France after seeing such amazing buildings, churches, and food. We boarded a plane and landed in....
