Family....Reunion!

Stephanie and Matthew smiling for me during the wicked heat in PA. We flew out for the weekend to see a huge chunk of Stephanie's family and had a great time while out there.

Stephanie always relishes the times when we see her sisters' family, because she gets to see Jacob and Mathew.
We try to get out to Houston to see them as much as possible, but even that is not enough for Steph, she loves to spoil those boys.

We braved the heat, had some great times, and even visited a winery...and oh yes, how can I forget visiting the "bunker" in Eric's basement. I have never seen so many guns. WOW!

We'll be back in Houston with the boys very soon, because we'll be there for Labor day, and Thanksgiving. Busy, Busy days.

Stephanie Turns 30! (we head to Savannah)

This was one of the many amazing houses in and around Savannah, GA. It was our first trip there, and I wanted the first time to be special, so I setup Stephanie's 30th Birthday roadtrip to the Coast.

What an amazing city. You never really know what your getting until you go. Some will say its over-rated, others will say its there favorite place in the state. Having gone now, I can say its the prettiest place in GA. There is so much to do, and see and EAT here.

Stephanie and I have really become foodies...ok, I have..she always has been...and Savannah proved to be an amazing culinary area. We pigged out. Our B&B was amazing, and they took good care of us, and made sure we had plenty to eat, and slept well. We are really liking this whole B&B lifestyle. How can you go to Savannah and stay in a Motel 8? its just not the same. As always I took a billion pictures, and they are all on Flickr!

Atlanta Beerfest 2011!

Stephanie and I hooked up with our good friends Randall and Maria for the Atlanta Beer Festival. We spent the weekend drinking a ton of different beer, and had some good times.

Randall and Maria are often our partners in crime, and we always have a great time with them.

The B&B....

We had the chance to use a weekend away from the craziness, and went north of our house a few hours until we got into the N. Georgia mountains. A few short minutes from Helen, GA, a major tourist trap, this place was hidden, high up in the trees. A newer B&B, it was really, really nice.

We shared the house with a few couples from TN, and GA and had a nice time talking with them, and reading our Kindles on the huge porch.

the weather was perfect, the scenery and of course Stephanie as company....made for a perfect getaway. Before we knew it, the weekend was over, and we had to head back to the house, and get the dogs. Wanna get away? I suggest you seriously consider finding this spot.

Horse racing? why not!

This year we used a Groupon to go see the Atlanta Steeplechase for the first time. It was an interesting time, but a bit disorganized for our tastes.

I wish I had a faster lens for my camera. The zoom I had was a slower model. I just don't have the money for a faster one yet. I think I did ok considering it was a slow lens.

The Horses sure are pretty, and they can really pound the ground.

A beach wedding....and perfect weather.

Stephanie and I spent the weekend on the beach in Florida for the Bennett wedding. It was a fantastic weekend, weather, friends, wedding...perfect.

I took a ton of pictures, and was able to give them to the happy couple. I was having a blast taking them, and was glad that they were happy that I took so many pictures.

Stephanie and I hope to return to that same beach someday, because the house we stayed in, and the beach we had free range on was perfect. It wasn't even busy, and we had most of the houses in one area devoted completely to the wedding party. Steph and I also met a bunch of great people, and have new friends because of this weekend. I love networking. We met David and Guinn through friends at a party, and welcomed them into our lives. They are a great couple...and great friends.

Valentines Day!

This is how far behind I am chronologically. This picture is from Valentines weekend. I arranged dinner and a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium. Unfortunately, we were about a month early to see the new dolphin exhibit.

After we did all of that, Stephanie had arranged tickets to Peter Pan 360. It was an amazing show, where the stage is surrounded by seats, and the show plays out in the center, and in the air around you.

That is a big ole shark at the aquarium, swimming over us while we walk through the tank (tunnel). No, it is not a white shark. Kinda looks like one though. I think I read somewhere that White Sharks don't do captivity well, and few live long during it. Ok, I am months behind, so this is a short post.
